Starting August 15, single-passenger vehicle on EDSA will not be allowed.
The policy was made after MMDA study found out that most of the vehicles travelling along EDSA on rush hour only has one person in it.
MMDA proposed the ban to the Metro Manila Council, which was immediately approved by the city mayors of Metro Manila.
Today is the start of the apprehension. The dry run for this ban is from August 15 to 22, 2018. Full implementation will be on August 23, 2018.
Single passenger vehicles will not be allowed to travel along EDSA (Starting from Balintawak up to Magallanes) from 7am-10am and 6pm-9pm.
There will be a P1000 fine for those who will violate the regulation after its full implementation.
