Globe Telecom officially brings out its sports advocacy program, Globe sports. They already announced its full support for two national football teams. Globe now backs the Philippine women’s national football team popularly known as the Malditas and the Philippine national futsal team known as the Muzang.
Globe is known as the leading telecommunication company. Its sports advocacy’s aim is to support Filipino athletes with world-class potential as well as to develop sports awareness in various Globe CSR communities in a bid to discover grassroots talents, said Globe President and CEO Ernest Cu.
“Through this advocacy, we are effectively strengthening sports development in the country. Football is just the first step because our sports advocacy is not a mere sponsorship channel but it’s actually a long term partnership to develop sports programs for our Globe CSR communities.” Said Cu
Even before the official launching of its official advocacy, Globe has already been an avid supporter of football by sponsoring the Green Archers United Football Club (GAU FC) in the United Football Leaugue (UFL) with Azkal team Captain Chieffy Caligdong, DLSU Greenhills football team and a number of Futsal tournaments since last year.
By supporting and helping the Malditas and Muzang together with GAU FC and DLSU Greenhills football team under its stable, Globe now becomes the biggest stakeholder of Football in the Philippines. These football teams will now carry the “Globe Football Para Sa Bayan” as their CSR football advocacy. See how Globe is being able to help our athletes?
Globe will hold on October 26 its biggest Globe Football Para Sa Bayan at DLSU Zobel Globe Football Field in Ayala Alabang Village which will be participated by Gawad Kalinga, Futcaleros, Dream Big Pilipinas, Pinay FC and Payatas FC.
