Paying for gas and convenience store items are now made cashless in all TOTAL filling stations and Bonjour convenience stores as they officially inked a partnership with Filipino mobile wallet platform PayMaya and will initially go live in their flagship service station in Alabang.
Functioning as a leading all-in-one payments application, PayMaya users can now perform cashless transactions through PayMaya QR and the One by PayMaya Business device installed in the TOTAL fuel terminal in Alabang, of which will soon make its way to more TOTAL branches across the country as well.
The One By PayMaya Business terminal, which will also be appearing in Café Bonjour and Bonjour Convenience stores, is ATEX-certified, passing the EU standards for health and safety under working environments such as gas stations. With this, payment transactions are made safer and easier for both customers and frontline staff as they can enjoy paying and receiving the exact amount of the purchase and worry less in handling cash or loose coins.
“Our strategic partnership with PayMaya in enabling customers with cashless payments is one of our significant initiatives as we continue to innovate our fuel products and energy solutions, on top of the overall customer experience improvements in our stations. We are grateful to offer our customers the benefits of cashless payments so they can easily pay for purchases on the go, starting here at our station in Alabang,” shared Mike Esquivel, Corporation Assistant Vice President for Retail Business of TOTAL Philippines.
As one of the global leaders in the petroleum and energy industry, TOTAL aims to provide better, eco-friendly and efficient products that bring economic and environmental benefits aside from offering motorists and travelers easy access to convenience items including snacks, packed meals, travel necessities and many more through the Bonjour Store.
“In the road toward building a ‘Cashless Philippines’, we are proud to make a pit-stop at TOTAL to enable them with world-class payment acceptance solutions that will bring not just convenience to customers but also efficiencies in their operations. We’re glad that partners like TOTAL have gone full-speed ahead in bringing new digital payments experiences to their customers,” said Mar Lazaro, PayMaya Head of Enterprise Business.
